Chowhound Sets New Hotdog Mark!

6/5/04

Chowhound Chapman continues to amaze by establishing a new Hot Dog record. Did the Chowhound surpass the 50.5 mark established by the amazing Kobiyashi? Well,.....no. However the Chowhound establish a new standard by being the first Competitive Eater to win a contest by consuming only 1 hot dog. The previous standard was set by the legendary...uhh...I cant remember his name, but he held the previous mark of 1.25 hot dogs. The Chowhound thanks the helpful staff at Price Choppers for their hospitality. Pictures were taken (to be autographed later) of this amazing feat and will be proudly displayed in the Managers office by the friendly folks at Price Chopper in Newburgh New York. Already, promoter "Loud Mouth Bill" (See picture section of this website) is attempting to to inform the world of this unbelievable accomplishment and is currently soliciting potential sponsors and the media for guest appearances. When contemplating the greatness of Chowhound's Hot Dog conquest we are reminded of those exciting title matches recently conducted in Downtown Brooklyn by the IFOCE. The Hound advances to the regionals in Poughkeepsi NY. It is unlikely that the Hound will improve on this historical mark. The reason you ask? There will be other eaters there.

Chowhound shows up late to attend Price Choppers regional championship in Poughkeepsi NY. The multi-state final is finally won by Gentleman Joe Menchetti.

Stay tuned for next story: "Will the Chowhound escape Hot Dog Hell?"

ChowHound finally finds a Hot Dog in Jersey!
