Chowhound Rocks the Garden

Arnie Chowhound Chapman destroys the competition at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Jan 22nd. The Chowhound ate more than 100 Chicken Wings in 8 minutes. The next finisher trailed far behind with a total of 80 Chicken Wings. Chowhound is a newcomer to Chicken Wings, but certainly made a strong statement to other Wing Specialists that he is someone to be reckoned with. Prior to Chowhound's victory he appeared on Fox's "Good Morning NY" and did a one minute eating demo where he competed against three other eaters. Chowhound's main competition in that event (and in the 8 minute competition as well) was the 300+ LB Chef, Bill "The Bulldozer" Johnson whose eating resume includes victories in Swedish Meatballs, Tacos and Chicken Wings. The Bulldozer has reportedly eaten a 76 oz. steak at J&R restaurant in Stony Brook in an astonishing 15 minutes! Although, the Bulldozer's victories were primarily in local competitions he was rumored to be undefeated until he got "Bitten by the Hound." The Hound was seen on TV giving a "shout-out" to his dog Roxanne. In doing so, he also forgot to mention any of the many "handlers" who made this victory possible. Rumor has it that Chowhound was in the doghouse with his #1 supporter, Debbie when he got home. We all hope she remembers that animal abuse is illegal.
