Quick Chek Original Toasted Italian Sub Eating Championship
2006 Contest Rules
This event will be a 10 minute contest sanctioned by the
Association of Independent Competitive Eaters.
Food Warriors will be given three fully loaded 6" Italian subs. Upon completion of each plate of three, an Eater will be "Reloaded" with another three subs.
Eaters must observe Picnic Style Rules which means that the subs will be eaten without separating, dunking, mushing, mashing or deconstructing the delicious and beautiful Original Toasted Italian Sub. Should an Eater be observed violating picnic Style Rules he/she will be deemed in performance of a "picnic profanity" and will be disqualified. Accidental and/or incidental separation is allowed.
Eaters who suffer a reversal of fortune and/or urges contrary to swallowing will be disqualified (and possibly laughed at). Eaters must keep the subs submerged for a period of two minutes after the contest.
The "Chipmunking Rule" will be in effect, which means that no stuffing sub-matter in ones "pie-hole" at the very end of the contest will be allowed. This rule will be enforced by only allowing an additional 30 seconds to swallow the remaining food. Gurgitators who are found to be in violation of the "Chipmunking Rule" will be penalized a 1/2 sub.
In
the event of a tie the winner or top three finishers will be determined by
a one sub "Eat-off". Creative participation is strongly
encouraged but good sportsmanship is required.
Judges will determine final amounts eaten by increments of 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4. Decision by Judges is final. All contestants are required to check in 30 minutes prior to the contest.
Top
three Finishers in Each qualifier will move on to the finals on July 29th
at the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in
Readington NJ.

1st Place: $100 Gift Certificate, 4 pack of tickets to the Festival
of Ballooning, and Opportunity to go on to the Finals
2nd Place $50 Gift Certificate, 4 pack of tickets to the Festival of Ballooning,and
Opportunity to go on to Finals
3rd Place $25 Gift Certificate, 4 pack of tickets to the Festival of Ballooning,
and the opportunity to go on to the Final
